Guarana is an evergreen bush that commonly grows wildly on the North and West of Brazil and Venezuela.
During many years Guarana has been purposely grown in the dozens of states of Amazonas (Brazil) for industries need. As a food supplement, the plant serves efficiently for stimulation, and it contains twice more caffeine than coffee beans (2-4.5% of caffeine in Guarana seeds and only 1-2 % of caffeine in coffee beans).
Guarana is rich with caffeine as we have said, that is pretty interesting because of the cognitive capabilities it provokes.
In 1997 there was clinic research of guarana effects on rats. The results have shown that the group of the rats getting guarana with food revealed better results of physical development than the group that did
not have a guarana supplement.
It also revealed that those rats that had had guarana supplements had a better memory.
In 2007 the experiments on humans were held. There was researching on the influence of the different dosages (37.5 mg, 75 mg, 150 mg, and 300 mg) of Guarana extract.
After the first two dosages, there was observed a positive effect on humans; memory, awakeness, and mood-elevating. And the cognition abilities grew much with the escalating of the dosage to 75 mg.
The product also contains such elements and vitamins as Manganese, Zinc, Sodium, groups B, A, E, PP. Besides, it helps escalate metabolism, stabilizing the gastrointestinal tract’s work. Just read some more information about this feature of guarana in free sources.
